Welcome to Huangshan, home of the iconic Yellow Mountain. Your guide and driver will greet you on arrival and escort you to your hotel in Huangshan City. After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby and travel about 80 kilometers (around 1.5 hours) to the foot of Mount Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China’s Five Sacred Mountains. Renowned for its breathtaking scenery, Huangshan features ancient pine trees, dramatic granite peaks, winter snow, hot springs, and a mesmerizing sea of clouds-collectively known as its Five Natural Wonders.

The day begins before dawn, usually between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m., as you rise early to witness the breathtaking sunrise that Mount Huangshan is famous for. Afterwards, travel to Hongcun, one of the most representative Huizhou villages, celebrated for its exceptionally preserved Ming- and Qing-dynasty architecture and village layout. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, Hongcun is often praised as a “village in a Chinese painting,” attracting photographers and artists with its timeless beauty.

After breakfast, depart from Huangshan City for a scenic drive of about 80 km (approximately 1.5 hours) to Wuyuan County to visit Huangling Village. Often praised as the “Village Hanging on the Cliff” and “Terraced Cloud Homes,” this ancient Huizhou-style settlement sits at an elevation of 500 meters on Shi’er Mountain, resembling a cliff-clinging Potala Palace, surrounded by ancient trees and sweeping terraced fields. After the tour, travel approximately 160 km (about 2.5–3 hours) to Wangxian Valley. Upon arrival, your guide will assist with hotel check-in. As dusk falls and lights illuminate the valley, the cliffside buildings glow softly, revealing a breathtaking scene reminiscent of a mythical Heavenly Palace descending from the clouds.

During the day, Wangxian Valley showcases a serene Gan-style ambiance, where an ancient mountainside town rises above waterfalls, featuring well-preserved yellow-plastered walls, dark gray tiles, and rammed-earth houses typical of northeastern Jiangxi. Your guide will escort you to Shangrao Railway Station (about 1.5 hours). For convenience, we suggest high-speed trains departing after 2:00 PM. Shangrao offers fast connections to Shanghai (2.5–3 hrs), Hangzhou (2 hrs), Nanchang (1 hr), Jingdezhen (1 hr), Huangshan (1 hr), Beijing (8 hrs), Xi’an (8.5 hrs), and beyond.
