Upon arrival at Wattay International airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and then transferred to your hotel.

Today, your private guide will take you to explore the hidden charms of Vientiane. We will firstly drive to the Buddha Park. Set in the parkland on the banks of the Mekong, it is filled with over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. Spend some time exploring the park. Afterward, drive back to downtown.
After lunch, you will continue to visit Wat Si Saket which is the oldest surviving temple with thousands of Buddhist images. You will also visit the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which houses the famous Emerald Buddha Image.
Next, proceed to the That Luang monument, a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa which is generally regarded as the national symbol of Laos. Continue to visit the Victory Monument dedicated to those who gave their lives for independence of Laos. Built to resemble Paris’ Arc de Triomphe, Patuxai offers a stunning view of the town and the Mekong River. A spectacular view over the Mekong River at sunset is a perfect way to end the day.

Today, your guide will pick you up to airport for taking a flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, your private guide will wait for you and escort you to hotel. The rest of day is free at leisure.
In the evening, your guide will take you to join a private Baci ceremony at a local family. As a traditional ritual of the Lao people, the Baci ceremony is held to celebrate important events and occasions, like Lao New Year, weddings, or in case of tourists to honor visitors and guests. On the ceremony, an elder chants blessings and ties pieces of white threads around your wrists, which are believed to preserve good luck for you. At the end of the ceremony, you will enjoy a feast of food with the host family. Joining in Baci ceremony at a local family is the best chance for visitors to delve deeper into Laotian culture and their spiritual life.

In the morning, start today's sightseeing with a visit to the ancient Wat Xieng Thong Temple, which is a magnificent temple built in 1560 and the most photogenic temple in Luang Prabang. Then, spend some time visiting the Royal Palace Museum. It is a grand palace with various cultural relics. Next, visit the nearby the Wat Mai. The impressive temple is one of Luang Prabang ‘s largest and most richly decorated temples.
Next, you will board a traditional long trail boat, for a relaxing cruise on the Mekong River. During the journey, you can enjoy the stunning mountain views and idyllic scenery. Then, you will reach Pak Ou caves at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. In the two linked caves display hundreds of sacred centuries-old Buddha statues. On the way back, we will stop at Ban Xang Hai village, which is famous for local rice wine (Laos whiskey) and hand weave. After returning to hotel, the rest of time is free at leisure.

Xieng Thong Temple

Get up early in this morning, you will have a chance to participate in an important ceremony - morning alms giving. Every morning, the pious local people offer their today's first pot of rice to Buddhist monks. Transfer back to hotel for breakfast
After breakfast, your private guide will pick you up from hotel to a small village to participate in the Bamboo cooking (closed on Sunday). The experience takes place in a rustic pavilion on traditional Lao style next to vast rice paddy fields. There you will learn how bamboo is used to make various household items and experience fun Lao childhood games with metal balls, crossbow arrow, and bamboo stilts. You will also engage in a relaxing bamboo weaving course with an expert. You can weave a mat made from strips of the bamboo as a souvenir.
Then, enjoy a hands-on cooking class using the bamboo shoot as the main ingredients. Make dishes such as bamboo shoot soup, bamboo shoot steamed in banana leaf, Lao sticky rice and more. Afterward, savor your creations in the pavilion terrace.
In the afternoon, depart for beautiful Kuang Si waterfalls. You will first visit the bear rescued centre in the park. Then, enjoy the spectacular views of waterfalls and surrounding of orchids inside the park. The falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool and turquoise pools. You can jump into the cool water to refresh yourself. After the tour, transfer back to Luang Prabang.

Kuang Si Waterfall

Today, you will be transferred to airport for taking a flight to Pakse. Upon arrival, your private guide will welcome you and take you to hotel for check-in.
In the late afternoon, head for Wat Phousalao, located in Salao hill where you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Pakse and the sunset over the Mekong.

After breakfast, you will depart for Champasak and visit the temple ruins of Wat Phou. It is a 12th century Brahmin complex with Khmer-style, situated amidst the rice fields and waterways of southern Laos. The entire building complex is large in scale. Now, only the ruins are left standing in the peaceful wilderness, silently telling the glory of the past.
In the afternoon, you will head to 4000 island area. On arrival, take a boat to Don Khong and check in hotel. Afterwards, spend your time exploring the largest island located in the Mekong River, southern Laos. Take a bicycle or motorbike, you will stroll around the village and enjoy the beautiful views of the Lower Mekong River, Don Det Island and the mountains of Cambodia.

Wat Phu

After breakfast, transfer to Ban Nakasang where you start your cruise to Don Khone. There, you can re-trace the French colonial times as the old pier, stream railway, French buildings still stand.
Continue to visit the marvelous Liphi waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking Lao border and Cambodia. If you are lucky, you may even see the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Mekong dolphin at Ban Hang Khone.
Then, we return to the village of Ban Nakasang and drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng. Khone Phapheng is regarded as the pearl of Mekong River for it is the largest and most spectacular waterfall in volume in South East Asia. Besides the grand waterfall, you can enjoy a coffee and relaxing time. Afterwards, drive back to Pakse and enjoy the beautiful Champasak countryside along the way.
