Firstly, you will head to Maeklong Railway Market. It is a unique market that actually sits atop train tracks. Once the train comes charging down, the market is transformed to allow it pass. It has trains passing through the middle several times a day. Down in the middle and close enough to touch. When you hear a charming little warning bell goes off over the speaker system just a few minutes before the train comes, you will be astonished at each vendor, who quickly move the goods and pull down their awing to let the train pass, and once the train gone, it turn back to usual again quickly.

Then you will go to Amphawa Floating Market (only opens on weekends: Friday, Saturday and Sunday). It is locally known as the second most popular floating market in the city. You will explore a series of agricultural and food stalls on the streets (and canals) of this unique floating market. This market has everything we know and love in the Thai market. Fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, sweets, clothing and flowers.

When night falls, you will take a motorboat and sail along the canal to see the beautiful fireflies and get a glimpse of villagers’ daily life by the river.
